Home Grown

Raised in the heart of downtown Chandler where I still live today, I couldn’t be prouder to call this city my home. My family planted their roots in Chandler two generations ago. A small family that began as humble farmworkers to successful graduates, careers, and business owners. I have watched Chandler transform over my time from Arrow Pharmacy becoming Cheba Hut and Bank One now San Tan Brewery. Growing up in Chandler and watching its evolution gives me a unique and unmatched perspective on our city, its residents, and its needs. I want to give back to the city that has given my family and me so much by representing them, and your family on the Chandler City council. 

Family

I'm the son of an Arizona native and Mexican Immigrant. Together my home was filled with the best of both worlds, culture, traditions, and language. My parents taught my siblings and me the importance of faith, independence, and activism. My father came to this country where he built a family and successful business. My mother, a born leader, dedicated her work to our community and civil rights. Together they instilled the values of community and civic leadership that has prepared me for the responsibility of this role. The values of serving my community are a pillar of my upbringing that will carry over as your elected councilmember.

Education

I'm a proud and successful graduate of our Chandler schools. My formative years were spent playing the saxophone at San Marcos Elementary, summer internships with Leaders in Training at Andersen Jr. High School, to student government at Chandler High School. (Go Wolves!) I continued my education at Arizona State University receiving my Bachelor's degree in Business with a minor in Sustainability. My degree in business communication has given me the education and understanding of organizational procedures which I have translated successfully to my current businesses. This combined experience will allow me to determine where our city can operate and serve our residents effectively and sustainably.

Professional

At an early age I entered the workforce in a variety of industries from retail, hospitality, and banking. The versatile experience eventually allowed me to venture into entrepreneurship, where I now manage an Immigration Consulting Firm and Real Estate business. Handing over the keys to a new homeowner or watching one become an American Citizen has been some of my most rewarding work. I help facilitate the American dream for so many by providing legal pathways to citizenship and boosting our local economy through homeownership. I want to provide all the citizens of Chandler with the quality of life and services they deserve. I want to extend the opportunity afforded to me by our city to future generations.
